Unlike other banks that try to be everything to everyone, our focused approach allows us to support those often overlooked by mainstream banks. We call this ‘excellence through specialism’, and we believe it’s something special.
Our values led culture is guided by specialist customer focus, unwavering integrity, delivering excellence, and team HTB.
We want colleagues to feel empowered, respected, and included. These values shape our leadership development, support our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion agenda, and strengthen our commitment to social responsibility – building lasting relationships with customers, partners, and communities.
We’re always looking for passionate individuals to join us. Take a look at our latest opportunities – we might be looking for someone just like you.
We’re recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Financial Services by Great Place to Work.
A thriving culture is built on collaboration, inclusion and a shared purpose. Our employee-led networks help shape our culture and drive meaningful change across the business.
HTB is a great place to grow and develop.
We need a better gender balance in financial services.
We’re proud signatories of the Women in Finance Charter and are committed to improving our gender diversity among our senior management.
We’re closing our Gender Pay Gap through inclusive hiring and stronger female representation in senior leadership with year-on-year progress at the heart of our strategy.
International Women’s Day is more than just a date in the calendar, it’s an opportunity to celebrate achievements, spark conversations, and reaffirm our commitment to gender equity.
Thriving people build thriving businesses.
Wellbeing is more than a benefit – it’s a shared responsibility. Our culture of positive wellbeing and resilience is shaped by Wellbeing Champions, a diverse, colleague-led network that works with HR and our executive team to influence supportive policies and drive meaningful change. In collaboration with our Change Network, they help foster a workplace rooted in inclusion, respect, and personal growth.
We’re proud to be a signatory of HM Treasury’s Women in Finance Charter and are committed to improving our gender diversity among our senior management.
The Women in Finance Charter led by HM Treasury aims to drive gender balance across all levels of financial services. With over 400 signatories representing 1.3 million employees, it fosters a fairer, more inclusive industry.
By signing the Charter, HTB commits to four key principles to promote gender diversity in senior leadership:
Our vision, linked to our values, is to build an equitable and inclusive workforce, supporting the UK economy and society. As a UK employer we see it as our mandate to support the development of the country and to ensure that we build a brighter future.
We believe in Team HTB. Together we are stronger which is why we’re committed to investing in engaging, retaining and supporting our employees.
Our commitment to our female senior management target is a result of the progress made as part of our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Agenda, and the Gender Pay Gap progress.
We signed up to the Charter on 30 September 2025, committed to a target of 31% of senior managers who are women. We look forward to reporting our progress against this target in September 2026.
Through our partner Neighbourly, we connect our employees with thousands of charities across the UK – bridging the gap between those who want to help and those who need it most.
Every employee receives a paid volunteering day every year to support a cause close to their heart. With access to over 45,000 charities, they can make a meaningful difference in their local communities.
We encourage and support a variety of clubs to bring our people together. Whether it’s discussing the latest read, going for a lunchtime run, tasting wines from around the world or singing in our local choir (and many more!), we help build specialist communities inside and out.
