Matthew was appointed as CEO of Hampshire Trust Bank with effect from 23 April 2018. Prior to joining Hampshire Trust Bank, Matthew was an executive director of Castle Trust Capital plc. From 2007 to 2012, Matthew served as an executive director of Nationwide, latterly as Distribution Director where his responsibilities included the branch network, contact centres, Nationwide Financial Solutions and the group’s operations in the intermediary mortgage market. Matthew was the Chairman of the Council of Mortgage Lenders for two years running in 2009 and 2010.

Tim has over 26 years’ experience in Financial Services. Most recently, he was IPO Director for the CYBG float following a similar role for TSB. Prior to that he undertook various roles in LBG Group Finance as Group Financial Controller and BP&A Director and as FD of Asset Finance Divisions. Prior to joining LBG, Tim spent many years in Big 4 Accountancy Firms providing transaction advisory services to a wide range of FS businesses.

David Alcock

Managing Director, Development Finance

David joined Hampshire Trust Bank in 2014.  He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, with over 20 years’ experience in residential, mixed-use development and finance.  Having started his career working in property advisory roles for firms including JLL and Allsop, he joined HTB as a founding member of the Development Finance team.

Director of Compliance

Jenny joined Hampshire Trust Bank as Director of Compliance in September 2016. Jenny has over twenty years’ experience in financial services, having most recently been Head of Risk and Compliance at Welcome Financial Services Limited. She previously performed roles within Operations, Internal Audit and Operational Risk over a ten year career with Citi. At Hampshire Trust Bank, Jenny is responsible for Compliance Oversight and is the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Chief Information Officer

Russ leads Hampshire Trust Bank's Information Technology, Information Security, Business Change, Business Intelligence, Facilities Management and Process Improvement capabilities.  He has over 20 years’ experience in IT and business change and as a leader of operational and change capabilities. Previously he has performed roles with Nationwide Building Society, Lloyds Banking Group and The Royal Bank of Scotland and has undertaken key consulting assignments both as an independent and working with major Consulting firms.

Chief Risk Officer

Clive joined Hampshire Trust Bank as Interim CRO in May 2017 and officially became CRO in February 2018. Clive has long experience in banking having spent 36 years at RBS in a huge variety of roles. More recently he spent time at Shawbrook Bank building their Risk Management and Risk Appetite Frameworks and Aldermore Bank as Head of Enterprise Risk. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Executive Chairman, Development Finance

Robert has been involved in property finance for over 20 years. He advises a team of Development Finance experts offering creative and customised financial solutions to housebuilders and residential developers across the UK. The Development Finance team typically offers loans of between £1 to £15m.

Malcolm Horton

Human Resources Director

Malcolm joined Hampshire Trust Bank in February 2018 as the Human Resources Director.  After graduating from Brown University in the US, he has spent over 27 years in financial services across North and South America, South Africa, Europe and Asia.  He has held similar HR roles at JPMorgan, Lehman Brothers and Nomura International, prior to which he spent 12 years as a corporate finance banker.  He is responsible for Hampshire Trust Bank’s people strategy and efficiently driving the employee life cycle of recruitment, engagement, development and reward. Malcolm also sits on the Board of EDHEC Business School in France.

Director of Savings and Marketing

Stuart leads Hampshire Trust Bank’s Savings business, providing consistently competitive products and award-winning customer service to consumers and businesses. He is also responsible for marketing, communications and customer experience across the bank. Stuart is a specialist in the deposit-taking market, having set up and led a number of savings and retail banking businesses over the past decade.

Asset Finance

Jon joined Hampshire Trust Bank in January 2017, prior to which he was Commercial Director at Aldermore and spent 10 years with GE Capital. He is a graduate in Economics from Exeter University. At Hampshire Trust Bank he leads a team of Asset Finance professionals, building the bank’s proposition across the Broker and Block Discounting markets and developing new strategic opportunities.

Managing Director, Specialist Mortgages

Charles leads our Specialist Mortgages division which aims to provide best in class solutions to our broker partners and borrowers underpinned by excellent service. Prior to joining the Bank, Charles spent four years at Aldermore where he was the Commercial Director of the Mortgages Division. Charles spent many years in a Big 4 Accountancy firm providing accounting and transactional support to a large number of Financial Services businesses.
